Patrick Wolf arrested in San Francisco

Singer says he was 'almost shot in the face'

Patrick Wolf was reportedly arrested last night (June 8) for spitting in a bouncer's face.

The singer, who was performing at Slim's in San Francisco as part of his US tour, Tweeted about the experience, and said he was almost shot in the face.

In a series of Twitter postings earlier today (June 9), Wolf wrote, "Was arrested by san fran police for spitting in a bouncer's face in protection of myself. Was almost shot in the face by a policeman. WTF? was told by the policeman "take your shitty ass music out of this city and if you ever step off that tour bus you will be *****"

"Feeling very thelma and louise right now.. must sleep... not allowed off the bus or i will be shot by a policeman. this country is insane!!! btw. apparently my spit DEFINITELY contains hiv, swine flu and hepatitis that is why my spit is a deadly weapon according to police here!"

Wolf is scheduled to continue his tour with a show at the Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles tonight.

Whatever it contains anyone that's low enough to spit in someones face deserves all they've got coming to them in my view.

Yeah, what LEN POXON said. Someone should rip off his head and spit down his neck for crimes against music, fashion and humanity

From SF. Do you know what kind of ass you have to be to get arrested there? The police have better things to deal with, so this retard must've totally been in the wrong. Slim's is a class venue for bands, been there hundreds of times and never had any trouble with the bouncers. Patrick Wolf, YOU ARE A TOOL.

argh, i hated him before but this is a new level. How do you spit in self defense??? Very generous of that policeman to call what he does 'music' i thought, shame he didn't shoot him

Do you guys known ANYTHING about Patrick Wolf? He is a brilliant artist who deserves respect. He's had an impossible time with people beating him down and treating him unfairly. Of course he's going to attempt to protect himself in a threatening situation. I'm ashamed that people from my country would treat this man so harshly.

Ah, I see we've seen quite the degree of reasoned maturity and considered reactions to a situation none of us know the truth of. Nice.Spitting at somone is very unpleasant, true, but to wish someone a kicking for it? Indicative of idiocy. Worse still to condone their shooting, or using as an excuse to slag off their music or taste in clothing. If you don't like his music, clothing or personality, live with it. Christ knows, if I was to kick up such a fuss about the tossers who produce the kind of shit I have to listen to on the radio or at work dailly, I'd never stop. Anyway, why the hell is NME reporting on some musicians twitter? Haven't they got any real music news?

I like Patrick, i think he's darling. No, i don't think spitting in someone's face is a good thing to do but don't slag off his music or his clothing just for a questionable action. If you don't like him, fine. Don't condone his shooting or him being beaten to a pulp, that's just uncalled for.

you guys are siding with a bouncer?!! lame that's like siding with the goverment, or nazis, everyone knows bouncers suck!

God, who cares?! He makes amazing music which is finally getting the attention it deserves..the only downside is this type of negative attention that comes with it, the half-arsed speculation which might just about creep into some crappy tabloid on a day when nothing important happened. And personally i don't think the people at the top of this page should write as if they're on such high moral ground when the best retort they can muster is: 'Someone should rip off his head and spit down his neck ' That's just plain disturbing.
