Patrick Wolf hurls equipment at staff at German festival - video

See singer launching an angry tirade at C/O Pop

Patrick Wolf launched an angry tirade against the organisers of a festival in Germany last Thursday (August 13).

Video footage of the incident, which you can watch by clicking below, shows the singer getting angry after the sound was pulled towards the end of his show at the C/O Pop event in Cologne.

Wolf urged the crowd to "cause a riot" before lambasting the stage crew, using the words "motherfucker" and "bitch". He then told fans to ask for their money back, and threw his microphone stand and a chair at the crew before leaving the stage.

The four day festival, which has seen the likes of Metronomy and The Whitest Boy Alive perform, ends today (August 16).

Patrick Wolf is due to play the Reading And Leeds Festivals, which take place on August 28-30.

What a classless moron. There's better ways to deal with something like that - acting out & making yourself look like a dick isn't one of them! Hope they pull the plug on him at Reading & Leeds too - I'll be off watching someone better!

What a c#nt. He behaved like a spoilt wee brat. Anyone who spits at someone is a c#nt! He's about as scary as a jobby.

It would have made for a better bit of footage if the sound guy had come out & beat the crap out of you. having a hissy fit due to the sound being cut at a festival,(were you over running your slot, by chance), Partrick Wolf you are no Sid ViciousSlagging off la roux, because she getting the success that you think should be yours (Polydor dropped you as your stuff DIDN”T sell)Gobbing in a bouncer’s face & then being shocked that he turns around & chins youPartrick Wolf, try making some good music & the drama that surrounds you would then be justified

Such a weedy man - could barely chuck his microphone stand. Such a weak throw it went off kilter and nearly hit that poor lay in the face and hair

He's... not very good is he? Looks and sounds like Howard Jones. Everything that was bad about the 80's repackaged and sold to... who exactly? People who think it's new because the original wave of this shit has been buried and deemed unmentionable for the last 25 years, that's who.

I wouldn't speak to badly about the man guys, I mean just listen to the vicious way he repeats rude words! He's clearly extremely hardcore and should not be messed with, be fucking warned mother fuckers, he'll fucking throw things in your general direction!

am I the only one who is going to stand up for Patrick? Do any of you know how frustrating it is for the sound to be pulled whilst you are trying to play your trademark song? Ok, he could have delt with it in a better way HOWEVER like Patrick said he did go to Germany for a one off performance and to be treated like that... some promoters just have no respect

i love patrick but theres no defending that. not because his behaviour was particularly shocking or anything, but if you're going to have a diva strop, at least make it a good one! he cant pull off motherfucker.
