Patrick Wolf in Leeds Festival costume change

Flamboyant singer changes threads on first day of event

Patrick Wolf played a flamboyant show today (August 28) at Leeds Festival, during which he made a mid-set costume change.

The London singer-songwriter emerged on the NME/Radio 1 Stage wearing a black, white and grey jumpsuit. During the set, he juggled his vocal duties with playing violin, keyboard and guitar.

During 'Damaris' Wolf ripped out his hair clips, flicking his long blonde locks free before leaping into the pit at the front of the stage. He spent the climax of the song repeatedly singing the "Rise up" lyric to the front row, leaning into the fans before climbing back on stage.

On the next song 'Tristan' he sang writhing on the floor as dry ice enveloped him. He then dashed backstage and kept on singing out of view before returning having changed into a glittery gold outfit with knee-high boots.

"It's good to be here on the first day," he said, before playing 'Accident & Emergency'.

"I'm playing a show in London at the Palladium, I hope you can all make it," he added, referring to a show he's booked to play in November, before closing his set with 'Hard Times'.
