Patrick Wolf has announced details of his new single and album, as well as a trio of live dates.

The singer releases 'Time Of My Life' on December 6 as a limited-edition seven-inch, backed by a cover of Leonard Cohen's 'Anthem'.

Describing the track, Wolf said: "'Time Of My Life' is a song that I began writing at the end of a relationship in 2006 and then finished three years later during a temporary break-up in my current relationship. The new album has a direct narrative about love and optimism surviving through adversity and recession. I wanted to celebrate the love and hope I have found in the last few years."

Wolf, who will release his new album next May, is set to play three gigs around the time of the single release.

Patrick Wolf plays:

Cardiff Clwb Ifor Bach (December 5)
Guildford Boiler Room (6)
London Bloomsbury Ballroom (7)
