Patti Smith to perform special New York shows

Patti Smith has announced a series of three shows, all of which are set to take place in one night in New York.

Smith will play ‘The Bowery Sessions’ at Bowery Ballroom later this month (April 24) to support the release of her covers album ‘Twelve’.

The album sees Smith perform covers of tracks by a range of artists including Bob Dylan, Stevie Wonder, Nirvana and Neil Young. She collaborated with a myriad of talent on the record, including Red Hot Chili PeppersFlea, who appeared with her as she performed the last ever set at CBGBs last year.

‘Bowery Sessions‘ ticket buyers will also get a free copy of the album on the night. Individual tickets are $17, while purchasers of the three-show ticket, priced $51, will also get a free vinyl 7” EP.

In addition to the Bowery shows which will take place at 6pm, 8.30pm and 10.30pm, Smith will also play Hiro Ballroom in New York on April 18.
