Ex-Beatles man is reportedly 'in talks' with producers

Ex- legend Sir Paul McCartney is said to be in talks to pen the soundtrack for 'Shrek 4'.

McCartney has been named as being lined up to write the music for the next instalment to the animated franchise and may also have a small speaking role in the film.

Previously, the former Beatle's James Bond theme 'Live And Let Die' was sung in Shrek 3, after it had originally been nominated for the Oscar for Best Original Song in 1974.

McCartney is said to be extremely keen to get involved with the next instalment, as his three-year-old daughter Beatrice is a particular fan of Shrek.

"I'm a huge fan of Shrek", the Beatle told The Sun. "As is my little girl. I can do a really good impression of him – I put on my best Scottish accent!"
