2008 Electric Proms: Who you want to see Paul McCartney Tickets

We reveal the bands and collaborations you want for next year

Earlier this week (October 29), we asked you to tell us who you want to see at next year’s BBC Electric Proms.

While this year saw performances from Kaiser Chiefs, Bloc Party, Paul McCartney, The Coral and Editors, you’ve got some great ideas for next year’s proceedings – which are rumoured to be taking place in Liverpool to coincide with its term as the European Capital of Culture.

Burnsy: “If there is a possibility of it being in Liverpool why not invite The La's to come and play? It'd be amazing to see the band back on television after so many years out of the limelight.”

Lynsey Thompson: “Next year I’d love to see Arcade Fire, I think they would really suit this event. I would love to see them do ‘Wake Up’ with David Bowie again!”

Liam: “I think seeing The Killers with a philharmonic orchestra would be astounding, as would Muse. Maximo Park might be an interesting choice as well.”

Sean: “Biffy Clyro with a philharmonic orchestra! For a band which has been working so hard for all these years, it would be amazing to see Biffy play one of these shows.”

Seaman947: “Pete and Carl.”

Tom: “I would like to see Muse do a Metallica-style rock opera with a full orchestra.”

Tom Booton: “Super Furry Animals with The Streets.”

David Ames: “As for the James Brown/Paul McCartney slot, I need say only two words – DAVID BOWIE. Please!”

Get more new breaking bands. You Me Them Us, Our Fold, Raining Pleasure, The GoStation.

Failing that, lets see Pete and Carl. Mabe throw Gary and John in the mix too.
