Paul McCartney could make a cameo in US television show Mad Men, according to reports.

McCartney, who released his new album 'Kisses On The Bottom' earlier this week (February 6), has signed a deal with the show's producers giving them permission to use his songs.

A source told The Sun that the Beatles legend could also make a fleeting appearance in the programme himself, claiming: "It's perfect timing because his new music suits the programme perfectly. Action in the show has now reached the Swinging Sixties. So it's only right that the man who was pivotal to the era is now involved in the show."

The went on to add:

Macca could have a walk-on part if he wished but it's unlikely that he'll ask for a role. He's more than happy just to supply the tunes.

Recently, McCartney has spoken of exploring other avenues to promote his music, including a desire to write songs for computer games after the singer claimed that the console market was more lucrative than traditional album sales.

'Kisses On The Bottom' is made up of songs McCartney listened to as a child as well as two new songs, 'My Valentine' and 'Only Our Hearts'. It was recorded with producer Tommy LiPuma, Diana Krall and her band and also features appearances from Eric Clapton and Stevie Wonder.
