Paul McCartney and Yoko Ono contribute to new Judd Apatow movie soundtrack

Both Paul McCartney and Yoko Ono have contributed songs to be used in the soundtrack to new Judd Apatow movie This Is 40.

The film, the sequel to Apatow's 2007 box office hit Knocked Up, is due for release in December and stars Paul Rudd, Jason Segel, Lena Dunham, Chris O'Dowd and Megan Fox amongst its cast. The official movie soundtrack details have been confirmed with old material from McCartney and Yoko Ono appearing alongside new music from Fleetwood Mac's Lindsey Buckingham and Norah Jones.

Ryan Adams, Wilco, Fiona Apple and Paul Simon also feature on the album which includes original pieces from the film's score written by Jon Brion and Graham Parker. Paul McCartney has contributed his song 'Lunch Box Odd Sox', originally released in 1980 as a bonus track on the Wings album 'Venus and Mars'. The Yoko Ono song featured is 'I'm Your Angel'.

This Is 40 is released in the US this December and in UK cinemas in February 2013.
