Paul McCartney has said that he is open to a collaboration with Thom Yorke, but is scared the Radiohead frontman would not be interested.

McCartney reveals his fears while speaking to NME in a new interview in this week's issue, available digitally and on newsstands now. The former Beatles star will release his forthcoming solo album 'New' on October 14. The full tracklisting to the album, which includes work with producers such as Mark Ronson and Paul Epworth, can be seen below. Speaking about his modern day equivalents, McCartney says he thinks about working with Thom Yorke and Damon Albarn, stating that his family are keen for him to work with the former.

"My daughter Stella is very keen. She's got a project, she keeps saying to me, 'Ring Thom and just go into the studio and just see what you come out with.'" McCartney says. "I'm a bit sort of paranoid to just ring him up. 'Hey Thom, it's Paul here. What do you fancy, what are you doing? Do you fancy writing something?' Just in case he says, 'Er, actually I'm busy'."

However, there is one artist McCartney would embrace working with though.

He reveals: "There were big rumours a couple of years ago about me and Bob Dylan writing together, and I've still got that at the back of my mind. I would like to do it."

Titled 'New', McCartney's new solo album features production from Ronson and Epworth as well as Ethan Johns, who has previously worked with Kings Of Leon and Laura Marling. Long-term McCartney collaborator Giles Martin also features on the album's production credits.

'New' has been announced for an October 14 release date. Listen to the album's Mark Ronson-produced title track and first single here. McCartney released his last studio album, 'Kisses On The Bottom', in February 2012.
