Paul Oakenfold, Paul van Dyk, Armin van Buuren for Love Parade victim tribute
DJs getting together to release new song this month
DJs Paul Oakenfold, Paul van Dyk and Armin van Buuren are releasing a tribute song for the victims of the Love Parade crush in Germany.
Last July 21 people died and over 500 were injured at the Duisburg event. The three DJs are releasing a song, 'Remember Love', under the name DJs United on September 11, with proceeds going to those injured or the families of those who died, reports BBC News.
Oakenfold said: "I just thought we should do something to help them. In many other music genres artists come together."
He added: "I think this is the first time this has ever been done in the dance scene, to give back, to help people."
The proceeds of the song will be distributed through the Association of Non-statutory Welfare in North Rhine-Westphalia Germany.
