Ziggy Marley is gearing up for the release of this third album ‘Family Time’, set to be released on May 5 via Tuff Gong Worldwide.

The family-themed record was produced by Don Was, and features a variety of family and friends including his mother Rita Marley, sister Cedella Marley, and his three-year-old daughter Judah Marley.

Paul Simon, Jack Johnson and Willie Nelson also perform on the release, as does actress Jamie Lee Curtis who narrates two stories.

According to Marley, the record “represents my daily family life and is inspired by my three-year-old daughter Judah and baby Gideon. It was a joy to make and opened up new avenues in my creativity.”

A former member of the Melody Makers, Marley has contributed to a variety of children’s programming including Nick Jr’s ‘Dora the Explorer’, the PBS children’s show ‘Arthur’, and ‘Shark Tale’, in which he played the character of Bernie, the Jamaican jellyfish.
