Paul Simon has been forced to postpone his show at London's Hammersmith Apollo tonight (June 28) due to illness.

The singer has pulled the gig after coming down with a throat infection. He will now play the concert tomorrow night (June 29) at the same venue instead.

"Paul Simon wishes to apologise profusely to all his fans for any inconvenience this has caused and would like to stress that he only has their best interests at heart and wants to deliver the best show possible," a statement added. "Doctors have advised him to completely rest his voice."

Tickets for the gig are still valid for tomorrow's show or they can be returned to the point of purchase.

He will continue further dates at Birmingham NIA the day after (June 30), London Roundhouse on July 1 and Manchester Apollo on July 3.
