Paul Simon and wife Edie Brickell arrested for disorderly conduct
Paul Simon and his wife, the singer Edie Brickell, have both been arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

The married musicians were arrested on the evening of April 26 at their home in New Canaan, Connecticut, reports BBC News. Local police said in a statement that they were called to the couple's home to investigate a "family dispute". The pair are due to appear at Norwalk Superior Court today (April 28).

Brickell, who fronted Edie Brickell & New Bohemians, is Simon's third wife. The couple were married in 1992 and have three children. Police chief Leon Krolikowski said both Simon and Brickell were given a misdemeanor summons. One of the couple then agreed to leave the location which the police were called to, reports The Guardian. Krolikowski commented: "There was aggressiveness on both sides. They're both victims and they have children involved and we're trying to be very cautious of that."
