Paul Weller charmed a sold-out crowd at the Hollywood Avalon last night (February 5), wrapping up his six-night stint in Los Angeles and New York.

The Modfather played a different set each night, running through songs from The Jam and The Style Council, as well as his extensive solo catalogue.

Looking dapper in a grey suit (minus the jacket) and spiky blond hair, Weller put his backing band through the paces during the more than two-hour set.

"It's our final night in Los Angeles and we're having a fantastic time," Weller told the packed house filled with rockers of all ages.

Midway through the set, Weller switched from the guitar to a white grand piano. "This song proved popular with everyone last night, so I'm gonna play it again," he said before launching into The Style Council hit 'My Ever Changing Moods'.

During an extended encore, drummer Steve White performed a five-minute drum solo, eliciting whoops and cheers from the audience. Not to be outdone, Weller hopped on top of his piano where he played the tambourine, and the adoring crowd went wild.

Weller ended the evening on a high note with a stellar rendition of the classic Jam tune, 'Town Called Malice'.
