Paul Weller hearts Amy Winehouse
The modfather gives shout out to singer on Radio One
Paul Weller has praised Amy Winehouse on his upcoming Radio One Legends Show.
Using the programme as an opportunity to sing the praises of Winehouse, Weller declared her "one of my favourite all-time singers."
He added: "I've been lucky enough to work with her - she is an amazing, great talent and, despite what all the papers say, she is a great role model for people and I don't think the drugs and the drink and all that make a scrap of difference really. I think you should judge people on their talent and on that level she's up there, a major talent."
The programme, which will be broadcast on September 20 at 9pm, will also be available to listen to again on the radio station's website.
Weller kicks off a long list of guest slots which will see the likes of Paul McCartney, Dave Grohl and Noel Gallagher grabbing the mic at the radio station.
