Paul Weller is to play a show at Essex stately home Audley End on July 26.

Weller is the first artist to be announced for the venue’s House & Gardens Concerts series at Audley End in Saffron Walden this summer. Tickets go on sale this Friday (February 14) scroll down for further details.

Speaking about securing Weller's appearance, Audley End’s general manager Lynsey Coombs said: "We’re delighted to welcome back the summer concerts programme and look forward to seeing such an established act take to the stage in the iconic gardens."

Last month, Paul Weller announced a tour of forests in association with The Forestry Commission. He is currently working on a follow-up to 2012 album 'Sonik Kicks'.

Speaking to NME at his last gig in London last December, Weller confirmed that he is working on a new album in 2014. Discussing new song 'Gravity', which was aired at Save The Children's Christmas Tree Sessions show, Weller said: "'Gravity' is a song I've had for a while now, and I don’t know what to do with it. I'm working on a new album, writing and collecting songs, and hopefully it'll be out next year. It's what I do, write songs and record them, so I just want to get on with it."
