PAVEMENTAL!

The much-loved but now-defunct indie rockers take an extensive look back at their ten-year career...

Defunct indie rockers Pavement are to release a retrospective double-DVD.

'Slow Century', released on October 21, runs for 279 minutes. Included are includes all 13 promo videos the band made with audio commentaries by band and director on each one, two full-length concerts filmed in Seattle and Manchester during 1999 and a 60-minute documentary film by Lance Bangs incorporating footage from the band's entire ten-year career.

The DVD has been four years in the making, and in that time the band have split, playing their last gig at London's Brixton Academy in November 1999.

Frontman Stephen Malkmus released an eponymous solo album in early 2001, while guitarist Scott 'Spiral Stairs' Kannberg's band Preston School Of Industry released an album, 'All This Sounds Gas', later that year.
