Reuniting US indie rockers Pavement have told NME.COM that they will definitely play UK shows on their 2010 comeback tour.

The band recently announced that they were getting back together to play gigs in New York next September.

Guitarist Scott 'Spiral Stairs' Kannberg explained that the five-piece would be heading to Britain too, and that the jaunt could include the a slot at Glastonbury festival, where they last played in 1999, the year they split up.

"There definitely will be [UK gigs]," he said. "We're looking at the summer time, but I'm not sure how much touring we'll do."

Kannberg did not reveal specific details of the UK live shows, but hinted that appearances would be limited. "We'll do what we need to do to satisfy our fans and what would be fun," he said, "but we're not going to do anything stupid, any big festivals that are really dumb."

See the new issue of NME, out today (September 23), for the full, exclusive interview with Kannberg.

Pavement played their last gig at the O2 Academy Brixton in London in November 1999.
