Eddie Vedder headlines Kokua Festival
Pearl Jam frontman joins Jack Johnson at Hawaiian event
The festival is set to take place April 21 and 22 at the Waikiki Shell in Oahu and will coincide with the celebration of Earth Day. Also on the bill are Boom Gaspar of Pearl Jam and singer-songwriter Matt Costa.
The event was created to raise funds for the Kokua Hawaii Foundation, a non-profit organisation founded by Johnson that supports environmental education programmes in Hawaii.
The festival intends to offset its emissions by running generators and festival vehicles on bio-diesel fuels and biodegradable concession ware, as well as recycling and offering eco-friendly merchandise.
Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster and the Kokua Festival web page at Kokuafestival.com.
