Pearl Jam's former manager has pleaded guilty to stealing $380,000 (£232,643) from the band.

As Seattle Weekly reports, Rickey Charles Goodrich admitted that he had stolen large amounts of cash from the grunge group during the four years that he had served as chief financial officer for Pearl Jam's management company Curtis Management.

Members of the band had hired a private investigator to look into Goodrich's "cash flow issues" and subsequently discovered records for a number of transactions and wire transfers that had been used to pay off his debt. The group have not commented publicly on the case.

Pearl Jam released their much-anticipated tenth studio album 'Lightning Bolt' in October. It was their first studio album in four years, and their 10th to date. It debuted at Number Two in the UK Official Album Charts.

The band are set to play two big UK shows next July, at Leeds Arena on July 8 and Milton Keynes Bowl on July 11, and will also headline the Heineken Open'er Festival in Poland next summer. They will join previously announced headliners The Black Keys at the yearly event, which takes place in Gdynia, Poland from July 2-5, 2014.
