PERRY'S VIRGINAL ALBUM

Former Jane's Addiction and Porno For Pyros singer Perry Farrell has gone solo and is working on debut solo album 'The Diamond Jubilee', which will be released through Virgin in the US in May 2000.

Farrell debuted solo material earlier in the month at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California. Eye-witnesses describe his new material to be significantly different to any of his previous work, with a more dance and eastern influenced sound.

Farrell has been responsible for some of the most critically acclaimed bands of the late '80s and early '90s. Forming Jane's Addiction in 1987, Farrell was one of the pioneers in bringing alternative guitar music into the mainstream. Following the split of Jane's Addiction, Farrell fronted Porno For Pyros, then concentrating his attentions on founding the world's first travelling festival, Lollapalooza, which Jane's Addiction headlined on their last ever dates.
