Pete Doherty has uploaded a video of himself jamming with his hero Lee Mavers - estranged frontman of The La's.

The video shows the two musicians mucking around with a guitar at Doherty's house. At one point, Mavers starts playing La's rarity 'Over', with Doherty clapping along.

Mavers is notoriously elusive. The singer’s last public appearance was when he toured with a reformed La's in 2005. Doherty has often spoken of his love for the seminal '90s band, even covering two of their songs on an online demo session in 2003.

The La's have famously only released one album, their eponymous 1991 classic.

The video also sees Doherty's son, Astile, playing with the camera.
