Pete Doherty refuses to stop playing at Bournemouth gig

Singer plays on despite curtain falling at solo show

Pete Doherty kicked-off his acoustic tour by playing a gig at Bournemouth Opera House last night (September 24) - refusing to stop playing as the curtains drew at the end of the performance.

Doherty played a set that included fan favourites 'What A Waster', 'Albion', 'Don't Look Back Into the Sun', 'Can't Stand Me Now' and 'Killamangiro'.

The gig ended in typically shambolic fashion, as Doherty refused to stop playing despite the time curfew, reports the Bournemouth Daily Echo.

Despite venue staff lowering the stage curtains around him, the former Libertines singer/guitarist could still be heard trying to finish the Babyshambles B-side 'Why Did Your Break My Heart?/Piracy'.

Doherty was joined onstage for several songs by his Babyshambles bandmate Adam Ficek, who also played a short acoustic set comprising of songs from his recently released 'Roses, Kings, Castles' solo album.
