Babyshambles' drummer Adam Ficek has confirmed that Pete Doherty and Blur guitarist Graham Coxon are working together on Doherty's solo album.

Rumours of a collaboration grew after Doherty posted a YouTube video of the two playing Blur's 'You're So Great' together in October.

Speaking to XFM, Ficek said that he was not allowed to give away any secrets about Doherty's solo album, although when goaded he admitted that a guitarist whose name rhymes with "Layham Hoxon" is working on the record.

Ficek then admitted that the guitarist in question was Coxon.

"It's not just musical with Graham, it's this whole sonic environment he creates and that's what has brought a really special edge to Peter's solo album...it's really interesting," he said.

A further video posted to Doherty's YouTube account in October appeared to show Coxon, producer Stephen Street and Doherty working together in the studio on the unreleased song '1939 Returning'.

As well as Coxon, Doherty has posted videos of himself jamming with Johnny Marr and The La's frontman Lee Mavers.
