Pete Doherty showed support for his beloved football team Queens Park Rangers at his acoustic pub gig last night (November 6), by saying he hoped they beat Manchester United in the Carling Cup next Tuesday (November 11).
Doherty said little throughout the gig at Camden's Monarch, but did make reference to his team before playing Libertines b-side 'Cyclops'.
"So are QPR gonna stuff Man United next week then?" he asked the crowd. "I hope so. Let's hope for the best, eh?"
Doherty seemed to be taken aback by the crowd's reaction, after large sections showed their support for QPR by chanting "super hoops" in their honour.
In 2005, Doherty revealed he had written a song for QPR. However, he said he won't release it until the team win the FA Cup.
