Pete Doherty to play Liverpool's Bandwagon night this December

The Bandits' legendary club returns

Pete Doherty is to play the Bandwagon Christmas Party at Liverpool Academy on December 27.

The gig, billed as 'Pete Doherty And Friends', sees the legendary Bandwagon clubnight return for a one-off night.

Set up by former members of Liverpool band The Bandits, Bandwagon has previously hosted exclusive gigs by The Coral, , as well as a rare solo performance by Oasis' Noel Gallagher in 2003.

To check the availability of Pete Doherty tickets and get all the latest listings, go to NME.COM/GIGS now, or call 0871 230 1094.

Doherty first became friends with The Bandits when they supported The Libertines in 2002.

The band later lent Doherty and Carl Barat their instruments for The Libertines' legendary 2003 reunion gig at Chatham's Tap N Tin pub.

The gig, which was later named NME's Gig Of The Year, saw The Libertines reunite onstage the day Doherty had been released from prison for breaking into [b]Barat/[b]'s flat.
