Pete Doherty to make duets album with Dot Allison?

Allison tells NME.COM she's keen to make it happen

Scottish singer Dot Allison has told NME.COM that she's keen to make a duets album with Pete Doherty.

Allison made the admission in an interview which you can read in full in this week's issue of NME, available nationwide from July 22.

The duo have recorded together several times before, most notably on Doherty solo track 'Sheepskin Tearaway' and Babyshambles B-side 'At The Flophouse'.

Doherty also features on two tracks on Allison's forthcoming solo album, 'Room Seven And A Half', which is released on September 7. He sings on 'I Wanna Break Your Heart' and co-wrote album-closer 'Portrait Of The Sun'.

Speaking to NME.COM about her relationship with Doherty, Allison said the pair initially wanted to record an entire album of duets together, something she still thinks could happen.

"I really hope it will happen," she explained of the project. "I've got a few sketches that Pete and I need to sit down and finish. Actually, one of them is finished already. He's got lots of bits and pieces on his computer too."

Allison also revealed that Paul Weller sings on another 'Room Seven And A Half' track, 'Love's Got Me Crazy'.

"He actually texted me out of the blue and was like 'Do you wanna write a song together?'" she said of the collaboration.
