Pete Doherty is set to stand trial for driving charges on December 21 at Gloucester Crown Court.

The Babyshambles man appeared in court this morning (October 1), where he pleaded not guilty to driving dangerously after a gig on June 11 in Gloucester, reports Thisisgloucestershire.co.uk.

Judge William Hart described the alleged offence as on the "bottom end of the scale" of dangerous driving. The trial is expected to last for two or three days.

Other offences Doherty has been accused of – including drink driving – are set to be dealt with following the trial, it was announced. The frontman has admitted to drug possession and driving without a licence and insurance.
