Pete Doherty cancels Irish tour after being hospitalised with breathing difficulties

Singer is currently under observation, his agent confirms

Pete Doherty has cancelled his Irish tour after being hospitalised last night (October 12), suffering breathing difficulties.

The tour was due to start at Belfast's Mandela Hall tonight.

A statement from Doherty's agent confirmed that he is currently under observation by doctors and will not play the tour as scheduled: "Last night Peter Doherty was admitted to Swindon Hospital with exhaustion and breathing difficulties. He is currently under observation by doctors."

The cancelled dates of Pete Doherty's Irish tour are:

Belfast Mandela Hall (October 13)
Dublin The Academy (14)
Galway Roisin Dubh (15)


The dates are currently being rescheduled and fans are advised to check individual venues' websites for more information.

Doherty is due to start a new UK tour with Babyshambles tour on December 10.
