Pete Doherty summoned over hit and run case
Babyshambles man to face hearing at Lowestoft Magistrates' Court

Pete Doherty has been summoned to Lowestoft Magistrates' Court in relation to a hit and run case involving his manager.
The Babyshambles frontman's manager, Andy Boyd, recently admitted to a charge of dangerous driving following an in incident in Suffolk in September that left a man in a "serious but stable" condition in hospital.
Now Doherty has been summoned to court to face the charge of permitting the use of a vehicle without insurance in relation to the incident, reports EADT.co.uk.
It is believed that Boyd was driving the singer's car at the time.
However, the frontman is not required to attend the February 24 hearing in person – he is allowed to enter a plea by post or the case can be heard in his absence. Boyd is due to be sentenced on the same day.
In other Doherty news, Billy Lunn of The Subways yesterday (January 3) launched into a Twitter tirade against Babyshambles, accusing them of unscrupulous gig dealings following a London club show.
