Pete Doherty has been charged with possession of cocaine following an inquiry into the death of a documentary filmmaker in London.

Robin Whitehead was found dead in a Hackney flat in January after a suspected overdose, and Doherty was arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs.

He has now been charged with possession and remains on bail, reports BBC News.

Collaborator Wolfman, real name Peter Wolfe, was charged with possessing and supplying the drug, while Doherty associate Alan Wass was charged with possession.

All three are now due to appear at Thames Magistrates' Court on October 18.
