Pete Doherty returned to UK solo gigging last night (February 2), playing a solo show at The Macbeth venue in Shoreditch, east London.

The Libertines and Babyshambles man headlined the Cherry Cola clubnight – a night his Libs bandmate Carl Barat has played in the past.

It was his first public UK solo gig since The Libertines played the Reading And Leeds Festivals last August.

He has recently announced details of a new UK and Ireland tour set for May, but judging by last night's setlist fans hoping for new material could be disappointed. It was comprised of old Libertines, Babyshambles and solo songs – some unreleased but none new.

The solo tour kicks off in Leamington Spa on May 3.

Pete Doherty played:

'Killamangiro'
'Beg, Steal Or Borrow'
'Tell The King'
'Arcady'
'Horrorshow'
'Music When The Lights Go Out'
'East Of Eden'
'Can't Stand Me Now'
'Don't Look Back Into The Sun'
'Death On The Stairs'
'La Belle Et La Bete'
'Back From The Dead'
'Bucket Shop'
'What Katy Did'
'Time For Heroes'
'Sheepskin Tearaway'
'Pipey Magraw'
'Albion'
'Fuck Forever'
'What A Waster'

Meanwhile, it has also emerged that Doherty recently had another meeting with the police about the death of Mark Blanco, who died in 2006 after falling from a balcony at a Whitechapel party the frontman was attending.

BBC News reports that he voluntarily attended a police station but was not formally questioned. Police said he was there to "to help them with their inquiries".

Doherty also recently hinted at the possibility of more Libertines shows later this year.
