The mother of a Mark Blanco, who died after falling from a balcony at a flat during a party Pete Doherty attended, has said that forensic examination of CCTV images will prove her son was murdered.

Mark Blanco died in December 2006 after falling from a balcony in a property located in east London. It has never been confirmed who, if anyone, was responsible for Blanco's death but his family are confident new evidence from grainy CCTV footage could pinpoint the person they believe murdered their son. Sheila Blanco claims Pete Doherty plus two assosciates, Jonathan 'Headlock' Jeannevol and Paul Roundhill, have "big questions to answer".

"You can see that Mark's body mass was at waist height when he was thrown, and you can see the other person's body mass separate from Mark's as he is thrown. It's as if someone is carrying him, then throwing his body over the balcony rail," Blanco's mother Sheila Blanco told IB Times UK. "It's a bit like thermal image resonancing. There's more than one person there."

"All three men who were there that night - Headlock, Doherty and Roundhill - have serious questions to answer," she later added. "Mark did not go over the railing unaided. He was dropped, pushed or thrown to his death."

In 2011 Pete Doherty wrote a blog post in which he claimed that the Mark Blanco was alone just before he died. Earlier that year it was announced that Doherty will not be charged over the death.
