Peter, Bjorn and John have invited Brighton electronica trio Fujiya & Miyagi to open for them on all of the dates of their upcoming North American tour (with the exception of the Coachella Festival on April 29).

Last Wednesday, Fujiya & Miyagi headlined a raging night at Club NME Los Angeles with Fred Perry Subculture, and both bands made a splash at Austin's South by Southwest festival last week.

"We've got a good position now in the States," frontman Peter Moren told NME.COM. "The record's out and it's doing well, so we're trying to build on that."

Fujiya & Miyagi are currently in the midst of a headlining tour throughout the UK and Europe, as previously announced, and will join up with Peter, Bjorn and John in Washington DC on April 30.

Together they'll hit New York and Boston as well as several other eastern cities before heading west to wrap up their tour in San Francisco on May 16.

The tour dates are:

Washington DC 9:30 Club (April 30)
New York, NY Webster Hall (May 1, 2)
Philadelphia, PA Theater of Living Arts (3)
Boston, MA Paradise (4)
Montreal, Quebec Le National (5)
Toronto, Ontario Phoenix (6)
Columbus, OH Wexner Center (7)
Chicago, IL Empty Bottle (8)
Minneapolis, MN First Avenue (9)
Vancouver, British Columbia Commodore (12)
Seattle, WA Neumos (13)
