Peter Gabriel on Genesis reunion: 'Never say never'

The singer also discusses his new album

Peter Gabriel has said there is a "small chance" of a reunion with Genesis.

Gabriel spoke to Rolling Stone about the possible reunion, appearing open to reforming with the band who haven't played together for over 32 years with Gabriel as the frontman.

Discussing the potential reunion, Gabriel said: "I never say never. It really didn’t happen last time. I think there’s a small chance, but I don't think it’s very high."

The singer also discussed how work is going on his first album of brand new studio material since 2002's 'Up', explaining that he "gets distracted," and stating: "I have technology and a few benefit projects at the moment that keep me going. I'm itching to get back to more writing."

Last week (April 10), Gabriel was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame along with Kiss, Hall & Oates and Nirvana. Gabriel performed with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin at the induction ceremony.
