Auction site eBay has banned the auction of tickets for her memorial concert.

The gig which is set to feature the likes of Pharrell Williams, Elton John, Duran Duarn, Joss Stone and Bryan Ferry is set to take place at the new Wembley Stadium on July 1.

A statement on eBay’s internal community page says : “In view of the unique and commemorative nature of the Concert for Diana event and as a mark of respect for the memory of the late Diana Princess of Wales, we’ve decided to prohibit the resale of tickets to this event on the site. Any tickets currently listed will be removed as soon as possible.”

A spokesperson for the company said the site was using “leading edge technology” to locate listings for the Concert for Diana, Dotmusic reports.
