Phil Spector's trial postponed again
Legendary producer still on bail over 2003 murder
The trial of producer Phil Spector has been delayed for the third time.
Spector will now be tried for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson on March 7, 2007.
Spector’s defence requested that the trial be postponed from its January 2007 date to allow additional time for forensic tests, Yahoo News reports.
Clarkson, 40, was found dead from a single gunshot wound in February 2003 in Spector’s California mansion, after accompanying him back from the House of Blues where she was working as a hostess.
Spector, free on bail worth $1 million, is currently in the midst of a legal battle with his personal assistant over the alleged siphoning off of the producer’s fortune.
