Five jury members dismissed in Spector trial

One juror already considered him guilty

Five jury members dismissed in Spector trial

Five members of the jury selected in the Phil Spector murder trial were dismissed yesterday in Los Angeles.

Two of the jurors had language difficulties, one Hong Kong native admitted she did not understand the American justice system, and a man whose nephew committed suicide by gunshot was also dismissed.

The fifth member of the jury to be dismissed was an aspiring actress who said she already believed Spector was guilty and would be unable to change her mind.

Among the remaining jurors in the case include a TV producer who said she believed OJ Simpson was guilty, even thought he was acquitted. The woman said she could put aside that opinion. She remains on the jury.

Spector is on trial for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson who was found dead as a result of a gunshot wound she sustained at his home in 2003.
