Phil Spector trial postponed
The producer's lawyer falls ill
Phil Spector’s murder trial has been postponed until Wednesday (May 2), as the producer's lawyer has fallen ill.
Bruce Cutler had to seek urgent medical attention for a mystery illness yesterday, according to officials at Los Angeles Superior Court.
"We have an ill attorney," the court official said. "The trial will resume on Wednesday."
It had already been decided the court would not sit today because protests by immigration reform campaigners are expected to cause congestion around the court building.
As previously reported on NME.COM, Spector, the pioneer behind the 1960s Wall Of Sound recording technique, is accused of gunning down Lana Clarkson on February 3, 2003 at his Los Angeles mansion.
The producer denies murder - his lawyers claimed last week Clarkson committed suicide.
