Phil Spector murder trial delayed further
Testimony is cancelled for the week
Testimony in Phil Spector's murder trial has been cancelled for the rest of the week.
The trial was set to begin yesterday (April 30), but was postponed after the producer's lawyer fell ill. A new start date was then set for Wednesday, but has just been postponed until next week.
The court confirmed that the delays are related to health concerns of defence attorney Bruce Cutler.
The judge scheduled a hearing without the jury for Wednesday to hear arguments on pending motions.
As previously reported on NME.COM, Spector, the pioneer behind the 1960s Wall Of Sound recording technique, is accused of gunning down Lana Clarkson on February 3, 2003 at his Los Angeles mansion.
The producer denies murder - his lawyers claimed last week Clarkson committed suicide.
