Jurors in the murder trial of Phil Spector today (August 9)visited the producer’s mansion in Alhambra, 15 miles outside Los Angeles where he is accused of shooting Lana Clarkson.
Lawyers and Spector were also present as the jury was shown the foyer where Clarkson died having suffered a gunshot wound to her mouth.
Some juror’s sat in the chair where Clarkson’s slumped body was found.
They also saw the fountain close to the parking area. The defence argue that running water may have affected what Spector’s chauffeur heard Spector say when he emerged from the house holding a bloody gun. The chauffeur says the producer’s words were “I think I killed somebody”.
Spector says that Clarkson shot herself. Much of the case so far has focused on the distance that blood can travel when it leaves a wound, as this could prove that Spector was close enough to have shot the actress.
