Jury reaches verdict in Phil Spector murder retrial

The jury in Phil Spector's murder retrial has announced that it has reached a verdict.

The Los Angeles Superior Court panel got to work early today (April 13) after taking the weekend off and a short day Friday, reports the Associated Press.

The court clerk announced that it will not read its verdict before 2:00 pm PST today.

The famed music producer is charged with murdering actress Lana Clarkson at his Los Angeles-area mansion in 2003.

Spector was originally tried in 2007, but the jury could not come to a unanimous verdict, which resulted in a mistrial and the subsequent retrial.
