The wife of incarcerated producer Phil Spector, has said that she is hoping an album the pair worked on before his conviction will be released in June.

Rachelle Short told the New York Daily News that the LP is set to be released on June 8.

The former glamour model did not reveal specific details beyond the fact that she takes on singing duties on the collaboration.

"I do lead vocals," she said. "My husband is so proud of me, and I'm so proud of him for withstanding what he's withstanding."

Spector is serving a 19-years-to-life jail sentence for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson. His lawyers recently launched an appeal against the conviction, claiming that he didn't have a fair trial.
