Phoenix score US TV coup with Saturday Night Live' slot
French band to preview new material on highly-rated show
Phoenix are set to perform two brand new tracks on ’Saturday Night Live’ when they are the musical guests on April 4.
The French band will be playing the brand new songs ‘1901’ and ‘Lisztomania’ from their forthcoming album ‘Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix’, which comes out on May 26 on Loyaute/Glassnote Records.
The slot is a major coup for the band, as the show is one of the most watched TV shows in the US.
Previous acts to have performed on SNL include music’s biggest stars from U2 to Coldplay to Radiohead.
The host of the April 4 show is actor Seth Rogen.
