ANOTHER TRICK FROM 'THE WALL'!

PINK FLOYD's 'THE WALL' is to be turned into a BROADWAY musical.

The seminal album, which has sold 23 million copies since its release in 1979, tells the story of the fictional anti-hero Pink, who withdraws into a fantasy world.

The band's bassist Roger Waters is to write and compose the orchestral arrangements for the New York show.

Waters, who acrimoniously split from the band in the 1980s, retained the rights to 'The Wall'.

Former Sony Music boss Thomas Mottle and a film company have now bought the rights to develop the musical from Waters.

Harvey Weinstein, co-chairman of Marimba Films said: "I am thrilled to be involved with bringing 'The Wall' to Broadway and to give new generations the opportunity to see this legendary show."
