Pink Floyd have announced the release of a brand new DVD.
‘Pulse’ will hit the shops on September 18, and captures the band’s last show on their 1994 ‘Division Bell’ tour at London’s Earls Court.
The gig was part of the group’s record-breaking 14-night residency at the venue, and the disc features the first live filmed performance of Pink Floyd’s seminal album ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’.
The LP was performed in its entirety by David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Rick Wright during the second half of the show, and is included on the second part of the DVD.
Disc one will feature such tracks as ‘Shine On You Crazy Diamond’, ‘Another Brick In The Wall (Part 2)', ‘High Hopes’ and ‘Learning To Fly’ alongside rarities such as ‘Bootlegging The Bootleggers’ and behind the scenes footage of life on the road with the band.
Long-time Pink Floyd collaborator Storm Thorgersen has designed the graphics for the release, and the DVD also includes some of the original screen films for ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’ used during the group’s 1970 concerts which were never filmed, as well as others remade for the 1994 tour.
