The midweek UK singles chart has revealed that Oasis are losing out to Pink in the battle to be Number One on Sunday (October 5).

Pink's single 'So What' is currently in the Number One slot, while Oasis' 'The Shock Of The Lightning' are in the Number Two slot, reports Music Week.

Pink's effort sat at Number 38 in the charts last Sunday (September 28), but physical sales of the single since have propelled it into the provisional top spot.

Check NME.COM on Sunday from 7pm (BST) to find out whether Pink or Oasis emerge victorious.

'The Shock Of The Lightning' is the first single from Oasis' forthcoming new album, 'Dig Out Your Soul', out on Monday (October 6).

Oasis are previewing 'Dig Out Your Soul' on MySpace from today (October 1).
