V Festival heads to Australia

The first bands are announced
The V Festival is heading to Australia, with details of the first announcement revealed in Sydney today (November 27).
Pixies, Gnarls Barkley, The Rapture, Groove
Armada, Soulwax and Pet Shop Boys will all play
the festival, which will take place as one-day events in Sydney and on Queensland ’s Gold Coast.
As previously reported on NME.COM, the festival is
part of an international expansion of V Festival by
owner and entrepreneur Richard Branson, who announced in September that the bash – which this year took place in the UK as well as the US and Canada – was also looking for sites in Italy, Spain and South America.
The dates are as follows, with tickets going on sale on December 4.

Gold Coast Avica Resort (April 1)
