Pixies have announced the dates of their Australian tour.
The legendary rockers will kick things off at Sydney's V Festival on March 31, and play three other festival dates across the country, wrapping up at the Southern Roots Festival on April 7.
When asked whether rumours of the Pixies recording a new album are true, guitarist Joey Santiago quipped to NME.COM, "They don't tell me anything -- except that we're touring Australia."
In other Pixies news, a tribute to the quartet entitled 'Dig For Fire: A Tribute to Pixes', is due to be released in the US on November 13 and features contributions from the likes of Mogwai, Dinosaur Jr/J Mascis, Ok Go, They Might Be Giants and other notable artists. The compilation will feature 16 tracks is being released via American Laundromat Records.

Glenorchy Tasmania Southern Roots Festival (7)
